Slovakia’s political environment has become increasingly unstable, with growing polarization, the spread of disinformation, and a visible shift toward more extreme positions. Public debate is often influenced by simplified narratives, emotional reactions, and external propaganda, which makes it harder to focus on long-term solutions.
There are also ongoing concerns around corruption, lack of accountability, and connections between political power and private interests, which continue to weaken trust in institutions.
In this context, some people describe parts of the system as resembling a “mafia-style” structure, where influence and relationships can outweigh transparency and fairness. Whether seen directly or indirectly, this perception alone is damaging, as it reduces public trust and creates a sense that the system does not work equally for everyone.
Strategy
My focus is on supporting values that create a stable and open society. This includes a clear alignment with the European Union, support for Ukraine, and a commitment to liberal democratic principles such as individual freedom, rule of law, and accountability.
I oppose systems and ideologies that rely on control, manipulation, or restriction of freedoms, including authoritarian regimes, political extremism, and forms of influence that undermine democratic processes. The goal is not to deepen division, but to stand for a direction based on responsibility, transparency, and long-term stability instead of short-term power or influence.
Result.
This approach is focused on contributing to a more informed and balanced public space. By communicating clearly, challenging misleading narratives, and supporting democratic values, the aim is to strengthen trust and encourage more responsible political discussion.
Over time, this helps create conditions where decisions are based on facts, accountability, and shared long-term interests, rather than pressure, influence, or disinformation.
